Mitsutomo Warranty

Limited Warranty

Congratulations on your purchase of new HVAC equipment. This product is designed for long life and reliable performance and is backed by a strong limited warranty. Your unit automatically qualifies for the warranty coverage outlined below, provided you retain proof of purchase (receipt) and comply with all warranty terms and conditions.

LIMITED FIVE (5) YEAR WARRANTY

Mitsutomo warrants all parts, including the compressor, to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and maintenance for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase by the original consumer, for the original installation.

This Limited Warranty applies only when the system is installed as a complete matched system (outdoor and indoor units) and in accordance with Mitsutomo’s installation instructions, as well as all applicable local, state, and national codes.

EXCEPTIONS

This Limited Warranty does not cover normal maintenance; Mitsutomo recommends that regular inspection and maintenance be performed at least once per season, and proof of such maintenance should be retained. Additiona ly, this warranty does not cover labor charges, transportation costs for replacement parts, refrigerant or filter replacement, or any other service calls or repairs. It also does not cover any portion or component of the system not supplied by Mitsutomo, regardless of the cause of failure.

CONDITIONS FOR WARRANTY COVERAGE

• The unit must be operated in accordance with Mitsutomo’s operating instructions and must not have been subjected to accident, alteration, improper repair, neglect, misuse, acts of God (such as floods), or damage caused by corrosion or chemical exposure, including but not limited to acidic conditions affecting copper components and refrigerant leaks.

• Installation must be performed by a trained, licensed, or otherwise qualified HVAC contractor.

• Performance must not be impaired by the use of any product not authorized by Mitsutomo, or by any adjustments or modifications to system components.

• Serial numbers and/or the rating plate must not be altered or removed.

• Damage must not result from inadequate wiring, improper voltage conditions, brownouts, or circuit interruptions.

• Airflow around any part of the unit must not be restricted.

• The unit must remain in its original installation location.

• The unit must not be purchased over the internet.

DURATION OF WARRANTY

The warranty begins on the date of purchase by the original consumer. The consumer must retain a dated bil of sale as proof of the warranty period. Without such proof, the warranty will begin on the date of shipment from the factory.

REMEDY PROVIDED BY THE LIMITED WARRANTY

The sole remedy under this Limited Warranty is the replacement of the defective part. If replacement parts are required during the warranty period, Mitsutomo replacement parts must be used; any warranty on such replacement part(s) shall not extend or modify the original unit warranty. The owner is responsible for providing ready access to the unit for service, and labor costs for diagnosing and replacing defective parts are not covered under this Limited Warranty. If a replacement part or product is no longer available during the warranty period, Mitsutomo reserves the right to issue a credit equal to the original list price of the defective part in effect at the time of the unit’s original purchase, in lieu of repair or replacement.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

1. There are no other express or implied warranties. Mitsutomo makes no warranty of merchantability and does not warrant that the unit is suitable for any particular purpose or can be used in buildings or rooms of any particular size or condition, except as specifically provided in this document. No other warranties, express or implied, extend beyond the description in this document.

2. All warranties implied by law are limited in duration to the five-year term of the parts warranty. The exclusive remedy is limited to the replacement of defective parts. Mitsutomo shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages arising from any defect in the unit.

3. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other

rights which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

4. No warranties are provided for units sold outside the continental United States. Your distributor or final seller may provide a separate warranty for units sold outside these areas.

5. Mitsutomo shall not be liable for damages if warranty performance is delayed due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to accident, alteration, abuse, war, government restrictions, strikes, fire, flood, or other acts of God.
